One of the most accessible and beautiful waterfalls near Almaty is easily reachable within a couple of hours from the city center. With a well-defined footpath through a spruce forest, this easy day trip is perfect for anyone.
In winter, the waterfall freezes and becomes even more spectacular than it is in summer, making it an even more enchanting destination.

8:00 – Meeting the guide at your place.
9:00 – Arrival at Butakovski Gorge: From the city center, it takes approximately one hour to get there by car. Upon arrival, there is a tourist information center where you can stop for coffee, use the restroom, and take a look around before starting your trek.
9:30 - 11:00 - Trekking to Butakovskiy Waterfall.
11:00 - 12:00 – Free time at the waterfall. You can take photos, explore the area, have a picnic. If you need more time, you are welcome.
12:00 - Start of the return trip. We walk back to the parking lot and then drive to your place in Almaty.
